The new plant will be built on a 40,000-square-metre site located in the Alhama industrial park in Alhama de Murcia, and includes a bioreactor plant, a fermentation plant and a new laboratory, in addition to offices. These new facilities will allow Symborg to expand the company's current research lines and develop new solutions aimed at improving agricultural production in a sustainable way.
According to Jesus Juárez, CEO of Symborg, the new production plant will allow the efficient and sustainable manufacture of biofertilizers, biopesticides and biostimulants. He said the commissioning of the new facilities will lead to a significant growth in the product catalog and an increase in sales and turnover.
Construction is planned in two phases: in the first, a hydrolysis plant will be carried out and in the second phase, the fermentation plant will be carried out to produce biofertilizers.
Once these new facilities have been completed, all the R&D, production and marketing activities currently carried out by the company will be transferred to this new space, which will become its headquarters. The activity of the seven international subsidiaries that the company currently has in Spain and Portugal, France, Turkey, Mexico, the United States, China, Chile, Peru and Brazil will be coordinated from its offices.
