Danila Bochkarev is an associate researcher at the Institute of Political Science Louvain-Europe (UCLouvain, Belgium) specializing in the EU and FSU energy policies.
Before starting his current position, Danila spent 14 years in the EastWest Institute (EWI) where he worked on the U.S.-Russia relations and covered energy developments in the EU, FSU and Southeast Asia. Before joining EWI, Danila Bochkarev was an Inbev scholar for EU-Russia relations at the Louvain-la Neuve and Leuven universities in Belgium. He also worked on China and Central Asia affairs at the European Parliament and the Energy Charter Secretariat and advises energy companies companies and international institutions. Danila has several post-graduate qualifications, including a PhD. He is the author of a number of academic and policy publications, and regularly contributes to policy debates on the energy issues.
