Philippe Setbon has been of CEO of Ostrum Asset Management since November 2019 and Vice-Chairman of the French Asset Management Association (Association Française de la Gestion financière - AFG) since May 2019.
He started his career in 1990 as financial analyst at Barclays Bank, Paris. From 1993 to 2003, he successively served in the Azur Group as European equities manager, Head of asset management and then Chairman & CEO of the asset management firm Boissy Gestion.
In 2003, he joined Rothschild & Cie Gestion as Head of equities portfolio management. He moved on to the Generali Group in 2004 as Investments Director at the asset management arm of Generali France, General Investments France. He was appointed CEO of France Asset Management in 2007 and Chairman & CEO of Asset Management Group at Generali Investments in 2009. Philippe Setbon had been CEO of Groupama AM Management from 2013 to November 2019.
He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Finance from the Paris Dauphine University and the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF).
