With over two decades of first-hand experience in the fields of Business decision making and finance, Rania is the founder of “Alexandrite Decisions”, supporting global decision making in our ever-changing world. Prior to that; she was a strategic adviser to one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds for over 10 years, freelance consultant and certified trainer with the International Finance Corporation (the World Bank Group) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and started her career working at her family office while teaching at her alma mater, coming top of her class. Combining both academic and practitioners experience, Rania has collaborated and worked with some of the top family offices and sovereign wealth funds in terms of AUM and she has given numerous talks and lectures at several international renowned forums and universities, such as Bocconi University in Italy, Lyon University in France, University of Portsmouth in the UK, Turku University in Finland, the Wharton Business School in Philadelphia and Columbia University in New York, besides the World Bank and global investment forums in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. Rania is a member of the executive education board at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She received her Doctorate in Investment Decision Making from the University of Portsmouth and is the author of a book on Making MultipleObjectives Decisions. Dr. Rania Azmi was chosen by the Asset International Magazine as one of the brightest “forty under forty” investment stars in 2013 and was designated a “Woman of Influence” by the Women Speakers Association in 2012. She is also volunteering locally and globally by supporting cancer awareness and cure, where she leads “Fadia Survive & Thrive” International Cancer Association, member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Rania enjoys an extensive global experience, having traveled as in-demand international speaker in over 70 cities in Europe, America, Asia and Africa besides the Middle East.
