Brent TasugiPrincipal, Infrastructure Equity at AMP Capital
Brent Tasugi is a senior member of the AMP Capital team in New York. Mr. Tasugi joined AMP Capital in 2017 and is responsible for leading AMP Capital’s transportation and logistics investment efforts in North America.
Mr. Tasugi has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry having started his career at Morgan Stanley’s real estate principal investing group in New York.
Prior to joining AMP, Mr. Tasugi was an SVP at Oaktree Capital Management / Highstar Capital where he helped lead the firm’s Transportation & PPP investment efforts and served as a board member at Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC, the operator of the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico (the first major airport in the US to be privatized), LoneStar Airport Holdings - operator of the South Terminal at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and was a board observer of Ports America Group, the largest marine terminal operator in North America.
From 2013 – 2014, Mr. Tasugi served as the interim CFO of Aerostar Airport Holdings and helped to transition the management of the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico from municipal control to private operatorship.
Prior to Highstar Capital, Mr Tasugi worked at the Carlyle Group focusing on leveraged buyouts in the industrials, transportation, and logistics sectors. Mr Tasugi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
