Ian TwinnGlobal Head, Transportation at IFC
Ian Twinn has been IFC's Global Manager for Transport since 2014, helping to develop the transport related business of the Corporation ranging from ports, airports and roads to ships, logistics and mass transit.
Ian joined IFC in 1999, working initially in the Treasury Department managing IFC’s liquid assets. In 2004, he joined the Infrastructure Department and, since then, he has worked on projects across the power, water, municipal and transport sectors including a stint in Istanbul where he was Head of Portfolio and acting New Business Manager for Infrastructure in the ECA region.
Prior to IFC, Ian worked at the Bank of England as an economist and then portfolio manager, responsible for the UK’s European foreign exchange reserves. He holds a BA (Hons) in economics, an MSc in Finance and is a CFA charter holder.
