Ramón Miró will assume the role of new president and CEO of Quiport as of June 1. Ramón Miró, joins CCR from presiding over HAS-DC, a pioneering US company in airport investment and consulting in Latin America and an affiliate of Houston Airport System, the company that manages the three airports in that city.
Miró has been involved for more than 15 years in airport concessions, such as the Quito International Airport, Ecuador and the Juan Santamaría Airport in San José, Costa Rica, two of the most prized airports in the Americas. He was initially involved in prospects on a global level, including countries like the Philippines, Indonesia and Croatia, for example. Since 2017 he has participated in the Quiport Board of Directors and in different committees and he has been a great admirer of the performance and the many accomplishments and accolades that Quiport has garnered.
Miró studied engineering at Trinity University (San Antonio, Texas), has a master's degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Northwestern University) and obtained the “International Airport Professional” certification (IAP; 2013), awarded after have completed the “Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program” (AMPAP), offered jointly by the Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which is the governing body of civil aviation on a global scale.
