Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni
CEO at Oman Airports


Aimen Al Hosni joined Oman Airports in 2012 as General Manager Muscat International Airport. In May 2015 he took over the role of the CEO overlooking the management of 7 airports across the Sultanate of Oman. Prior to joining Oman Airports, Aimen was working for the Ministry of Civil Services.

As the CEO of Oman Airports, Aimen led the historical opening of Salalah Airport in June 2015, Muscat International Airport in March 2018 and Duqm Airport in January 2019. 

Aimen masters a hands-on leadership style with high work ethics and an interpersonal ability to create a positive culture of achievement. He was successful in setting new service standards at all airports managed by Oman Airports to compete with the best in class, resulting in Muscat Airport to improve its global ranking from 97th to rank 6th

Aimen achieved another major milestone by leading Muscat Airport to be awarded the “Most improved Airport in 2018 and 2019 in Middle East by the Airport Council International and Salalah International Airport being certified by Skytrax as the first 5-Star Regional Airport in the Middle East in 2018. He also achieved a tripling in revenues by commericlazing all airports while an Omanization level of 98% by continuously investing into developing national talent to become the future leaders of the aviation sector in Oman as part of the national Vision 2040. 

Aimen has held leadership positions within numerous multinational organizations. In addition to his current role at Oman Airports, he also holds Executive Positions as the Vice Chairman of the Airport Council International (ACI) World Governing Board, Secretary Treasury of the ACI Asia Pacific Regional Board, Board Member Omantel Telecommunication, Chairman of Oman National Investment and Engineering and Chairman of Oman Cargo Sats.
