Alexander Zinell was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Fraport Greece on July 1, 2016. The company operates 14 Greek airports with 27m passengers under a 40-year concession agreement. It paid an upfront fee of 1,2bn EUR and will invest more than 400m EUR in the rehabilitation of the airports.

Prior to this assignment, Alexander Zinell was in charge of Global Investments and Management at Fraport, where he developed the portfolio of the group’s international airport investments. He chaired the supervisory boards of Fraport affiliates in Turkey, Russia and Bulgaria. Between 2004 and 2009 Alexander Zinell was General Manager of Antalya Airport.

Alexander Zinell holds degrees in business administration from the University of Cologne and HEC in Paris.
