Juan AngoitiaSenior Managing Director at Ardian
Mr. Angoitia has more than 25 years’ experience within the infrastructure industry. He joined Ardian in 2013 based in Paris until 2015 when he opened the Madrid office. Currently he is the Co-Head Ardian Infrastructure Europe. As part of Ardian Mr. Angoitia has led transactions like Adamo, Tunnels of Barcelona, CLH and a number of renewables investments in Spain, Chile and Peru for a total of more than 900MW.
Prior to joining Ardian, he spent six years at Citi Infrastructure Investors (CII) as Investment Principal based in London. At CII, Mr. Angoitia managed the firm’s investments in Kelda, a holding company of Yorkshire Water in the UK, and in Itinere Infraestructuras, S.A. in Spain.
Before Citi, Mr. Angoitia spent more than 10 years at Grupo Ferrovial, S.A. He began his career at Cintra as part of its toll roads management team. He was also involved in the acquisition and management of Cintra’s investments in airports (Sydney International Airport in Australia, Bristol International Airport in the UK, ASUR in Mexico and Cerro Moreno in Chile), before moving to Sydney to manage the company’s investment in Sydney International Airport. In 2006, Mr. Angoitia was a member of the team that acquired BAA, and moved to London where he was involved in the transition, regulatory and refinancing aspects of the investment.
Mr. Angoitia holds an MBA from the IE in Madrid and a BSc Economics from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Spain.
