Marcelo Sampaio is a Civil Engineer and has a Master´s degree in Transport Planning with an emphasis on Transport Infrastructure Vulnerability Assessment from the University of Brasília (UNB). He's also a specialist in Public Sector Economics and holds an MBA in Public Management. He's been a civil servant at the Ministry of Economy for 13 years. Sampaio served as Director of Information and Strategic Management of Transport at the Ministry of Transport and was Deputy Head of Public Management in the Presidency's Chief of Staff Office, where he led the Government's Digital Transformation program. Since January 2019, he has been Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, coordinating actions aimed at governance, integrity, strategic planning, management systems, IT, and the sector's concession program, in addition to overseeing the strategic actions of collegiate bodies linked to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
