Dr. Patricia Ryan has more than 30 years of experience in aviation consulting, airport management, commercial development, customer experience development, marketing and public relations, and economic development. Dr. Ryan has worked with multiple airports around the world and was staff at Richmond International Airport, Reno-Washoe County International Airport (and Stead Airport – in Reno), and Miami Dade Aviation Department which included Miami International Airport and four general aviation airports. As a consultant, Dr. Ryan has assisted airports in strategic planning, development and strategies for new terminal from ground-breaking through opening, and Principal Investigator on TRB ACRP projects to improve airport customer experiences and revenue generation. Dr. Ryan is currently CEO of her own DBE firm, Decision Services International, LLC and also Director of Aviation for IOS Partners.

Her consulting advice depends on the client’s willingness to participate in the development and outcome to ensure that all development of strategies and implementation of action plans meets the airport’s specific needs, has the necessary resources for implementation to maximize resources, improve revenue and customer experiences.

She has developed seminars, workshops, certificate programs and conferences for the aviation industry as a professor and Associate Dean of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University including initiating the first conference on Concessions as the ERAU/ACI-NA Concessions Conference in 1989 and had responsibility for that course for 15 years as her “give-back” to the aviation community. She is a featured speaker at many conferences such as the China Airport Summit, Passenger Terminal Conference, Global Summit Conference, and ACI-NA conferences. As President of ACI-LAC for four years, she led the effort to create conference, learning opportunities and ACI-LAC recommended to ACI-World the development of the program now known as AMPAP.
