Christopher Mendez is a Senior Advisor at AIM Capital based in New York. AIM Capital is a private equity group that makes control and non-control investments in high-growth companies that have achieved profitability and product or market fit. Mr. Mendez has 17 years of experience in the investment management industry and has helped scale several asset management firms. Mr. Mendez has advised on and led strategic product launches, including several fund complexes across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions. He most recently served as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Commonwealth Asset Management in Los Angeles. He joined Commonwealth from Semper Capital Management in New York, where he was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. He was previously at Goodwin Procter LLP in New York and before that was at several large asset management firms. He began his career in 2006 after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds a J.D. from Rutgers Law School and a B.B.A. in International Business from Temple University.
