Ravit Dotan

Ravit Dotan, Ph.D. is an award-winning tech ethicist specializing in data-heavy technologies such as AI. She works as an advisor, speaker, writer, and researcher in both the private and academic sectors. In the private sector, she helps investors and tech companies develop socially responsible approaches to data-heavy technologies. In academia, she is the Co-Founder and Director of the Collaborative AI Responsibility (CAIR) Lab at the University of Pittsburgh, where she leads research on socially responsible AI governance. She earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from UC Berkeley and has received multiple awards for her work, including being recognized as one of the 100 women in AI Ethics for 2023 by Women in AI Ethics and receiving a 2022 "Distinguished Paper" Award from FAccT, the top AI ethics conference. Recently, her work has been featured in publications such as the New York Times and TechCrunch.
