Stewart Eichner joined CoinFund in 2022 and is the firm’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in New York City and Miami, CoinFund is a cryptonative investment firm and registered investment advisor focusing on early-stage venture capital investments and liquid token trading strategies. At CoinFund, Stewart is responsible for the firm’s legal, regulatory, compliance and government affairs matters. Stewart also serves on the firm’s Risk & Operations, Valuation and Executive Committees.

Prior to joining CoinFund, Stewart served as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance officer of Rosecliff Venture Management, an early-stage venture capital firm as well as West Side Advisors, a structured credit hedge fund manager. Previously, Stewart was a Managing Director and Senior Counsel at BlackRock, Inc., where he was responsible for the firm’s fundamental/qualitative hedge funds and opportunistic private equity funds. Prior to joining BlackRock, he was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. with primary legal and compliance responsibility for a $6 billion hybrid hedge fund and other real estate focused alternative investment products. Stewart was issued a U.S. patent for managing liquidity for hybrid hedge funds.

Stewart holds a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Miami.
