Jennifer J. Pearson is the Head of Human Resources and Employment Counsel at Deerfield Management where she has responsibility for leading all facets of the human resources function for the firm.  Immediately prior to joining Deerfield, Ms. Pearson was employed as the Director of Human Resources and Associate General Counsel at Brigade Capital Management, LP, a $30bn credit-focused asset manager with 100+ employees globally, where she had global responsibility for building and leading the human resources function.  Prior to joining Brigade, Ms. Pearson spent several years in private legal practice as an employment attorney with the law firms of Seward & Kissel, LLP and Epstein Becker & Green, P.C.  As an attorney in private practice, Ms. Pearson focused on providing advice and counsel to clients on a wide-range of employment law matters, focusing primarily on clients in the investment management industry.  Ms. Pearson holds a B.A. in Government and Politics from St. John’s University, and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.  Ms. Pearson is admitted to practice in the state courts of New York and Connecticut, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
