Jessica Straus is a Venture Partner with Dundee Venture Capital, a seed stage venture capital firm investing in the best entrepreneurs between the coasts. Jessica has spent her career in venture capital, technology, and advancing diversity and inclusion in the innovation ecosystem.
Jessica has held leadership roles at GE Ventures, the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), and as a Kauffman Fellow. As Entrepreneur in Residence for GE Ventures, Jessica led the development of DiversityToolkit.org in collaboration with IDEO CoLab to enable startups to build diverse, inclusive, competitive teams. With NVCA, she worked to launch the industry’s first Diversity Task Force in 2014.
In 2018, Jessica built a coalition of investors advance California Assembly Bill 2041, a new California state law that requires the Regents of the University of California to begin tracking the diversity of its venture capital fund investments. Jessica started her career as a speechwriter in the U.S. Congress. Jessica is a Kauffman Fellow, a graduate of Davidson College, and an MBA in Design Strategy from the California College of the Arts.
