Robert Herin

Mr. Herin is Canyon’s Chief Information Officer, with responsibility for all aspects of information technology strategy and management, software applications, data management, and core IT infrastructure and support. Prior to joining Canyon in 2015, Mr. Herin was Managing Director and Global Head of Technology for Apollo Global Management, Chief Information Officer for the Baupost Group in Boston, and Chief Information Officer for Drake Management in New York. Earlier in his career, he was co-head of the Aladdin Front-End software development team for BlackRock and head of software development for PIMCO. Mr. Herin graduated from UCLA with a BS in Applied Mathematics and earned an MBA from UCI. He is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified Financial Risk Manager, and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Paul Merage School of Business at UCI.
