2020 Discussion Themes

Global Compliance
Global Compliance

An opportunity to dissect the core compliance challenges faced by legal teams in times of crisis. The global pandemic has fostered a high-pressure business environment for most companies. This pressure has undoubtedly flowed to the legal department, taking their role to mitigate business risks emerging from every angle.

This session will explore how legal teams can best navigate increased 3rd party risk in times of crises, including fraud, sanctioned corruption, whistle blowing, and how technology and predictive analytics can be used to spot trends quickly to deliver a robust compliance programme.

Overcoming Remote Working Challenges
Overcoming Remote Working Challenges

The legal department is already a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and sometimes limited resources. Remote working has taken the world by storm, and the legal department is no exception. This has brought different challenges to in-house legal teams, from keeping teams motivated to ensuring mental health is maintained in this new working environment.  In this session, we will discuss what different GCs are doing to best support their teams.
