Denis Choumert

Chairman at European Shippers Council

Denis CHOUMERT has been Chairman of the European Shippers’ Council, the association representing European retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers, since 2012.

In this capacity he is also a Director of the Board of TIACA and

chairman of the Global Shippers Alliance.

Denis Choumert holds an engineering degree from Polytechnique in Paris and an MBA from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau. He has held various senior management positions in engineering, project management, procurement, transport and logistics at Technip and Italcementi Groups.

On top of his assignments at a global or a European levels Denis CHOUMERT has been Chairman of AUTF, the French shippers’ association, since 2005. In this capacity, he has been on the Boards of Ports de Paris and Réseau Ferré de France and is still a Director of the Board of Voies Navigables de France.
