Katja Stockburger is head of Corporate Foreign Trade Legal and ICP Management at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, based in Friedrichshafen Headquarter (Germany). ZF is a one of the largest automotive suppliers worldwide. The company has a global workforce of around 148,000 with approximately 230 locations in some 40 countries.
Within the Foreign Trade department Katja is responsible for global Foreign Trade ICP Management and legal advising on international export controls. Katja worked in ZF offices in Germany and the US. Before ZF, Katja qualified as an attorney and worked for law firms in San Francisco, Lyon, and Hamburg. Moreover she worked in International Organizations, such as International IDEA in Stockholm, Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg and the Representation of Germany at the Council of Europe (Strasbourg). Katja studied law in Constance, Lyon (France), Heidelberg, Potchefstroom (South Africa) and holds a post graduate degree from Giessen University in International Law. Katja is an active member of the export control working group of DICO e.V. (German Institute of Compliance).
