Jennifer Shafferthe leader of RightCycle at Kimberly-Clark Professional
Jennifer Shaffer has found a unique way to unite her personal passion for the environment with the needs of global scientific & industrial companies via The RightCycle Program®.
This groundbreaking program from Kimberly-Clark Professional helps customers around the world divert hard-to-recycle personal protective equipment (PPE) from landfills and convert it into new consumer goods like flower pots, patio furniture, and plastic shelving. Under her leadership, The RightCycle Program has recycled more than 940 metric tons of non-hazardous nitrile gloves, single-use apparel items, and safety eyewear since 2011.
The RightCycle Program is not only making a positive impact on businesses and the environment, but also in the community. Through a partnership with the Jackson County Developmental Center in West Virginia, the program delivers a vital social impact by providing employment for people who have survived traumatic brain injuries or have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders or learning disabilities.
