Laura FluscheExecutive Director at Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA)
Laura Flusche is the Executive Director of the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). Under her leadership, the museum has been transformed into Atlanta’s design hub, a leader in design thinking and STEAM education for youth, and a trailblazer in exploring ways that a museum can serve its community in the 21st century.
While at MODA, Laura has curated a number of exhibitions, including Food by Design: Sustaining the Future and Designers, Makers, Users: 3D Printing the Future.
A classical archaeologist by training, Laura lived in Rome, Italy for fifteen years where she taught at the university level, excavated on the Palatine Hill, and was a co-founder of the Institute of Design + Culture. She fiercely maintains that design is archaeology backwards.
