Benoît Loicq is Director Technical and Environmental Affairs at SEA Europe since 2018 and advises about the technical and environmental discussions at EU and international level.
Benoît Loicq has a license in Nautical Sciences and started his professional career in 1997 working in the shipping sector as a deck officer on board gas carriers. He also worked for the Belgian Authorities in the field of deliberate and accidental marine pollution in the North Sea. From 2009 until early 2018, he was Director for Maritime Safety and Environment Affairs at the European Community Shipowners Associations (ECSA), in charge of EU policy in the field of maritime transport following all the technical files dealing with maritime safety and environmental issues.
