Lise DetrimontManager at APTMD-IWSA (Association de Préfiguration Transport Maritime Décarboné - IWSA)
Convinced of the need to develop clean shipping, Lise Detrimont began working on wind-ship projects in France based on the work of IWSA. As a result, French wind-ship companies have joined forces and decided to involve public authorities and civil society in this initiative to accelerate the ecological and energy transition in shipping.
Lise Detrimont worked for 15 years as an environmental engineer focused on reducing the environmental and social impacts of land planning, and agricultural and industrial projects, in particular in African, Asian and Caribbean countries. She was then involved in international development assistance, as executive director for an NGO working in Guinea. She recently gained a Masters degree in maritime law in order to enhance her skills and acquire a better understanding of ocean-related challenges.
