Nils HagemeisterProject Coordinator at Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services
Nils Hagemeister is a research associate with Fraunhofer CML in Hamburg. After obtaining his Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture from University of Applied Sciences Kiel he worked as hydrodynamicist for a design and consultancy company in the Netherlands, where he was involved in design and optimization as well as research and development of energy saving devices. Prior to that, he was in charge of managing the unique Twist Flow Wind Tunnel at University of Applied Sciences Kiel, working on performance analysis and prediction for professional sail racing campaigns. He has published several papers on velocity prediction programs for hydrofoiling sailing catamarans and ship hydrodynamics. At CML Nils coordinates the computational fluid dynamics activities and develops software for applications such as weather routing or assessment of structural limits of mooring systems.
