Ing. Petra Doubkova, M.A., Policy officer in the Maritime Safety Unit, Waterborne Directorate, Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission 

Petra Doubkova is a policy officer in the Maritime safety Unit of Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission. She deals with the coordination of relations between the European Union and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for the implementation of the Initial IMO strategy on reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from ships. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing EU policies in the area of reducing GHG emissions from ships, previously also passenger ship safety. She joined the European Commission in 2005 to work on the Better Regulation agenda and impact assessments and holds two master’s degrees in international and economic sciences.
