Project Coordinator at E-ferry Project

Profile

Trine Heinemann is Project Coordinator for the EU Horizon 2020 funded project, E-ferry, in which the world’s furthest ranging fully electric ferry has been developed and constructed. The E-ferry can cover a range of up to 22 nautical miles between charging and is currently operating on the route from Søby-Fynshav in the Danish part of the Baltic Sea. A researcher and lecturer in communication, design and innovation, Trine has held various positions at universities and research institutions in the UK, Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark and Finland over a period of about 15 years. Trine joined the E-ferry project in 2016, by appointment with the island municipality of Ærø (Denmark).
