Ghulam Mohammed Teli is the Chief Medical Officer at National General Insurance (NGI) Dubai responsible for P&L of the Health line of business managing Underwriting, Products,
TPAs and in-house claims management.
Ghulam is senior executive and strategy adviser with experience on multibillion projects across Middle East with insurance companies, Regulators and TPAs in the region. he is known to manage large accounts like Kuwait’s Retirees scheme with over 120 Million KDs as well as the multimillion project of Hajj & Umrah insurance setup in KSA with hands-on experience over operational efficiency, leading the development of new technologies in healthcare solutions.
Previously, in his capacity as Chief Officer of Health & Life at AXA Gulf over 5 years, Ghulam was responsible for developing and sustaining AXA Gulf’s market share in the health and life insurance sectors for personal and corporate clients within the Gulf region.
Ghulam was among the pioneers, building whole product range, with technical efficiency, operational infrastructure and overall fundamentals of National Health Insurance Daman in Abu Dhabi serving as its first Director of Underwriting services for 6 years.
Ghulam comes with a wealth of experience of over 25 years in the insurance industry after serving 8 years in the Pharmacy industry.
Ghulam was awarded for his contribution towards innovative ideas and strategies for the health insurance sector in the UAE by the Gulf Medical University.
Ghulam has a Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Financial Studies & Insurance (MBA – FSI) at the Vlerick Business School of Belgium under patronage of St. Gallen University of Switzerland.
An experienced insurance practitioner and member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, Ghulam has also achieved his DLHI qualifications from Life Office Management Association (LOMA), USA.
Ghulam has been leading and participating many prestigious forums in the industry within GCC and across Globe.
