Vikram LakhwaraCo-Founder at Green Cow Venture Capital
Spotting trends and talented teams and connecting people of all backgrounds to build relationships are his superpowers. A product of the early Silicon Valley days, Vik channeled his love for new and disruptive technologies into more than a decade-long career evaluating, investing, and advising founders at every stage of their companies’ growth.
Prior to co-founding GCVC, Vik was Manager of Startups & Venture Capital at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati – globally recognized legal advisor to the most innovative companies in technology (i.e. Google, Tesla, Salesforce, Square) – where he helmed the firm’s most critical business development initiatives as liaison to the startup ecosystem. He wore multiple hats, including facilitating deal flow amongst hundreds of the firm’s more than 2,000 private company and investor clients, building partnerships with the world’s top universities, accelerators, angel groups, venture capitalists, and services companies. Vik also created content, online tools and resources, and programming like Whiteboard (website), Start-up Bootcamp, and Founder University (two-day accelerator with LAUNCH).
As the first hire at SK Telecom Ventures ($100 AUM), Vik played an integral role in all aspect of the deal cycle, from sourcing and conducting due diligence, to writing deal memos for investment committee approval and deal execution. He worked closely with portfolio company founders to help with everything from investor introductions and go-to-market strategy to building partnerships within SKTVC’s sole LP, South Korean conglomerate SK Telecom. In fewer than five years, the fund made fourteen investments, ultimately resulting in eight exits, including to notable acquirers such as Apple, Autodesk, and Uber.
He leverages his past consulting experience with C-suite at Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies to help founders create stronger business narratives around customer-centric value propositions, enhancing everything from fundraising and go-to-market strategy to hiring and sales.
Vik holds a BA in Economics from Vassar College.
