Monik is one of the co-founders of Soho Ventures - a female lead early stage fund based in the UK investing in global technology solutions in a sustainable and socially responsible way.
Monik has spent the last five years launching early stage venture funds in the UK and working closely with portfolio companies for international scale. She was part of the founding team of early stage fund Fuel Ventures, managing its first four funds and raising just over £20m. Those funds have been invested across a portfolio of 20+ companies of which she was responsible for managing on a day to day basis. Monik was also responsible for investor relations and deal sourcing, having the experience required to build relationships with LPs and build a platform for portfolio companies to benefit from. Her experience in venture capital has been in pre Series A companies in the marketplace and software sectors and tickets up to £1m. Monik was also on the board of a number of these companies.
Prior to venture capital, Monik spent three years as part of the founding team of a foreign direct investment firm in London which has since invested £100m in the UK. She was responsible for managing investors from China, Russia and the Middle East which allowed her to build a global network. She was also responsible for sourcing and structuring investment opportunities ranging from fashion to technology.
She is an active angel investor and has been investing on behalf of a family office in London over the past two years. Monik is also on the board of Shanti Life which was launched 10 years ago to provide microloans and training for female entrepreneurs in India alongside sanitation facilities.
