Joaquin Uribarri

Director of Global Outreach and Professor at IE Business School

Professor Uríbarri is currently the Director of Global Outreach at IE University and Professor of Accounting and Financial Analysis at IE Business School. He is also an expert in talent management and leadership, areas in which he regularly contributes as speaker in a good number of international conferences and events.

Joaquín has developed a long career in the field of Executive Education at IE Business School where he got to be its CEO from 2014 until 2018. In such role, and before as Director of International Development, he has had the opportunity to work with global companies and managers from the five continents helping them in the development of their talent and leadership programs to successfully face the challenges of a global and digital world.  Over the past years he has focused specially in the areas of positive leadership and behavioral sciences as well as in the impact that new findings in neuroscience is having on talent development, mainly in the right impulse and balance of a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset.

He has adapted most of his work with executives to the world of young talent and higher education. He talks a lot to High School and College students about the Talent needed in the XXI Century as well as the benefits of developing everyone’s strengths to become a better professional, and ultimately a better leader.
