Karim El-Mehairy

Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Mirqah

Karim is co-founder and co-CEO of Mirqah. Karim is a social scientist and educational entrepreneur who co-founded Mirqah with his cousin Karim Abobakr in 2007. He works closely with departments and organizations to craft unique and unmatched solutions in the areas of strategy, finance and financial literacy, behavioral economics, and decision making.

Karim has either directly designed or managed the design of a multitude of learning experiences ranging in diversity from company-wide leadership development and innovation programs to business simulations, games and online learning platforms. A strategist by nature, he is also an analyst, forecaster, idea generator, and a veteran trainer - having trained people from top managers, heads of departments, to supervisory levels.

He has also started-up, launched and operated a variety of technology-based and non-technology-based products, the last of which is Learmapp, a social network for learning.

Karim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Education at the University of Oxford and working with the Learning and New Technologies Research Group (LNTRG). His research covers data sciences and analytics, adult learning, and learning ecologies.
