With 20+ years of experience in global talent management and streamlining business processes across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, Meiraj Hussain serves as the Head of HR (CHRO level) and Corporate Services at Al Masaood Group, a Forbes listed, large, diversified family business with HQ in Abu Dhabi.

Al Masaood Group belongs to Al Masaood, one of the leading trading families of the UAE with a rich diversity of companies and businesses across UAE and the region. It is also the first company to be registered by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and leads the country with a number of developmental firsts, such as the first gas turbine and desalination plant.

Meiraj plays a big role in the brand’s digital transformation, business strategy and human resources, bringing disruption to untapped sectors with the highest level of integrity and ethics.

He has been directly involved in supporting growth and further success of Al Masaood through transformation, reinventing processes and organisation structures and delivering an efficient and effective corporate support service raising the organisation’s employer brand and helping further strengthen the customer and partner brand.

Prior to his role in Al Masaood Group, Meiraj began his career in London as a Marketing Executive for General Electric, before transitioning into talent management and successfully managing P&L for several diversified Executive Search businesses in London.

Meiraj has worked across reputable family groups including DAMAC, Al Ghurair and Fakhruddin Holdings in positions that build growth capability, talent management, leadership teams and introducing systems, policies and processes to streamline costs and improve service delivery to customers.

Meiraj is passionate about addressing the challenges of large family businesses including re-structuring, corporate services effectiveness, organization culture and building leadership capability. He is often invited as an international speaker to deliver keynotes on leadership, corporate services, innovation and digitalization.

On a personal front, Meiraj is a family man with three children. He is fond of 20th century British art and loves gardening. He is currently in the process of restoring an Edwardian house set in South London.

In 2021, Meiraj was awarded the Golden Visa by the Ministry of Economic Development for his outstanding contributions to the UAE economy.
