Renate Baur-Richter

Program Director at SEDRA Foundation for Inclusion

Renate Baur-Richter is the Program Director at SEDRA Foundation, a hub for accessibility and inclusion of People of Determination that works across multiple sectors in the UAE.

She is responsible for supporting organizations in their transformation journey towards inclusivity, equity, and social responsibility.

Over the past 15 years, Renate has held several executive positions in the public and private sector, focusing on building a culture of opportunity for People of Determination and vulnerable groups. Leveraging that mindset, she partners with organizations leading transformational change projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania and Europe.

Before joining SEDRA Foundation, she served as a division manager in a leading social service provider. Renate developed and led an award-winning and profitable social enterprise providing employment and careers for people with mental health disorders and cognitive disabilities. One of her most interesting failures is the co-founding of an inclusive Montessori School.

Renate received her Masters in "Management of Social Enterprises" from Danube University in Krems, Austria.
