Salma Al Hajjaj

General Manager-Human Recourses at Gulf Bank

Salma joined Gulf Bank in February 2013, as General Manager, Human Resources.

Prior to joining the Bank, she spent 10 years in the Kuwait Oil Sector in various HR positions until she took the key role at the mother company KPC for the establishment of the Center for Leadership Development. As director, she oversaw leadership development for all KPC oil sector executives. Prior to her work with KPC, Salma served as a HR leader for Gulf Investment Corporation for 14 years.

Salma has extensive experience in: talent recruitment, assessment and development; performance management; learning and development; payroll management, HR business leadership and; change management. Salma won the MENA region 'HR Executive of the Year' Award at the Human Assets Expansion Summit held in Dubai 2014. She is a member of the Arabian Society for Human Resources (ASHRM) board of trustees, the Advisory Board of college of Business and Administration of GUST as well as board member of INJAZ, a non-profit NGO dedicated to the development of the youth.
