Akeel is Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Operations at GoodRx. As a member of the GoodRx executive team, Akeel focuses on long-term growth of the Pharma Manufacturer Solutions vertical which supports patients and providers on their journey to better health by partnering with pharma companies to bring unique solutions and innovative therapies to 22 million patients per month and over 800k providers. Akeel joined GoodRx in March of 2021 and since then has been leading all efforts to develop a provider specific platform, GoodRx for Providers.

Prior to GoodRx Akeel led the Corporate Strategy Team within the CEOs Office at Gilead Sciences. At Gilead he led development of their corporate strategy with a re-designed innovation model and new targeted therapeutic areas that included virology, immunology, and oncology. He also led efforts that redefined R&D and commercial oncology strategies leading to $20 billion plus of M&A deal value in 2020.
