Anna Blanding is currently Chief Investment Officer at ConnCorp, an impact investment enterprise that invests in mixed use development and businesses in Connecticut. Prior to ConnCORP, Anna was an investment officer at Choate Rosemary Hall, where she oversaw a $350MM endowment and deployed capital across all asset classes. Prior to Choate, Anna was an investment officer at The Annie E. Casey Foundation, a $4B endowment, with a focus on private capital and impact investments. Anna is passionate about transformative capital and uses her background in venture capital and private equity, endowment management, policy, and philanthropy to create equitable communities as well as access for diverse fund managers.
Anna is also a mother to an 8 yr old daughter, Gabrielle, who was born with Angelman Syndrome, a rare neurogenetic disease impacting 130,000 children worldwide. When Gabrielle was 4, she was diagnosed with an acquired brain injury that impacted her health further. Ms Blanding’s unique background has made her an “on the job” expert as a caregiver and patient advocate, navigating various systems to provide treatment for her daughter.
Anna is a board member of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. She is also a trustee and investment committee member of the Graustein Memorial Fund, a large family foundation in CT. Ms Blanding obtained her BA fand MBA from Yale University.
