Laura Girella<IR> Leading Practice and Research Programmes Coordinator at IIRC
Dr. Laura Girella holds a PhD in Accounting and Business Economics with the University of Ferrara (Italy) (2013). She has been Visiting Researcher at the Manchester Business School, University of Alberta School of Business and at Schulich School of Business (Toronto). She has been teaching financial reporting, management accounting and business economics at the University of Ferrara, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Free University of Bolzano/Bozen. She has published works in Journal of Intellectual Capital, Financial Reporting and Journal of Management and Governance, as well as chapters in international books and a book on reporting boundaries with Routledge. She has presented numerous papers in national and international academic and professional conferences.
Since 2014 she has been a staff member at the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), where she covers the roles of “Region Lead for Italy” and “Coordinator of the <IR> leading practices and research programmes”. Since February 2018 she is a member of the Corporate Reporting Committee (CRC) of the European Accounting Association.
