Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien
Member Nigeria Integrated Reporting Committee and Founder at Afrikairos


Dr Ndidi Nnoli Edozien is a member the Executive Committee of the Club of Rome and was named 2020 Sustainability Executive of the Year by Cemex Africa. She is a member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Stakeholder Council and the Nigeria Integrated Reporting Committee. She serves on the boards of the Circular Economy Innovation Partnership (CEIP) Africa and Afrikairos GmbH, Germany.

Dr Ndidi Nnoli Edozien currently also serves as a Fellow, SBI Africa, University of Edinburgh and Co-Chair, Weltethos Institute Frankfurt-Hohenheimer Leitfaden Research Group where her work on the SevenPillars Methodology for Sustainability commenced with her PhD in 2004. She served as the initiating Group Chief, Sustainability and Governance Officer between March 2017 and June 2020, engaged to operationalize Sustainability for Africa’s largest manufacturing conglomerate.

She has served as faculty, teaching sustainability, ethics and social entrepreneurship at Lagos Business School, China European International Business School and Darmstadt University. She has served the Bottom of the Pyramid, promoting women and youth entrepreneurship and financial inclusion through the Growing Businesses Foundation, which she founded in 1999 and serves as Chairperson on the Board.

She is a Co-chair of the Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG) on SDGs, inaugurated by the Nigerian Presidency in 2017; and serves on the Governing Council of Lagos State Employment Trust Fund. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Interswitch Financial Inclusion Services, the subsidiary company of Africa’s first unicorn, initiated in service of providing access to financial services in underserved communities.

She is a Founding Angel Investor in Rising Tide Europe and subsequently founded, Rising Tide Africa, where she serves as a Board Director. She is alumnus of the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and Wharton Business School and holds a Ph.D. in Sustainability & Governance from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt
