Chris Niederpruem is managing director and group head of First Citizens Commercial Real Estate.

His team provides stabilized, value-add and construction loans between $25 million and $150 million to highly experienced and well-capitalized sponsors. The team originates, underwrites and manages the loans, which are primarily focused on multifamily and industrial properties in major markets nationwide.

Prior to First Citizens, Niederpruem served as director of U.S. Property Finance for Bank of Ireland where he was responsible for new business origination.

Before joining Bank of Ireland, he worked for the Commercial Real Estate Banking Group of Anglo Irish Bank in New York. He also worked in the U.S. commercial real estate lending group at the New York Branch of KBC Bank.

Niederpruem sits on the national Board of the Real Estate Lenders Association and was President of its New York City chapter 2017-2019. He is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association.
