Prior to joining Shard Capital Ernst was with the Quilter Cheviot Collectives Research team in 2015 as part of the integration of Quilter Cheviot (QC) into Old Mutual Wealth, after having spent 8 years with the multi-asset team at Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI). Prior to joining the multi-asset team at OMGI in early 2008, he spent a couple of years at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Ernst completed educational career in South Africa, and has a B.Sc. in Mathematics of Finance and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Financial Engineering from the University of Pretoria. He is also a CFA charter holder.
