CEO at Quantessence

Peter De Clercq is Chief Executive Officer of Quantessence, a Euroclear company providing technological support for innovative savings and investment products. The Euroclear Quantessence platform is used by some of the world’s largest financial institutions in support of long-term savings products, in particular when products have a degree of individualisation or protection. Peter runs the company and is in charge of business development and sales.

Before joining Quantessence, Peter worked for more than 25 years in the markets divisions of leading investment banks. He was Managing Director at Barclays Capital for 8 years and previously held senior positions at JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs.

Peter holds a Maîtrise en Administration et en Gestion (MBA) in finance from IAG at UCL, Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), as well as an MA in Philology from the University of Leuven (Belgium).
