Shenal Kakad

Head of SSG Private Markets at Barclays Private Bank

Shenal Kakad joined Barclays as Head of Private Markets within the Strategic Solutions Group in July 2018. In her role Shenal is responsible for the Advised Private Equity offering and the Direct Investments platform. Shenal's oversight roles include being responsible for the end to end process for fund and deal selection across the Private Markets product offing and ensuring the successful distribution of such opportunities to clients of the private bank. In January 2021, Shenal was appointed to the board of directors for the newly established Barclays Luxemburg RAIF.

Prior to that she was at UBS for 13 years where she was responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing equity/ debt private placements and selected Private Equity offerings specifically for Ultra High New Worth clients, Global family offices and Institutional investors, Shenal started her career in Corporate Finance where she specialized in mergers and acquistions for family-owned businesses in Europe.

Shenal is a graduate of London School of Economics.
