Chris AdamkowskiHead of Industry, Financial Services at Google
Chris Adamkowski is a Head of Industry at Google, based in Toronto, where he leads the Financial Services industry in Canada. Chris and his team advise their Banking, Insurance, and FinTech clients on their investment in, and utilization of, digital platforms and infrastructure that help drive various business objectives.
Prior to his nearly 10 years at Google, Chris worked in Sales and Strategy roles, first spending five years with a building materials manufacturer in Canada and the United States, then two years in Management Consulting with a behavioral economics subject matter expertise.
Chris has a BA from Western University, an MBA from Queen's University, and studied Leadership at Harvard Business School.
Chris is a thought leader at Google. He has authored whitepapers including "Helpfulness and Efficiency | A Playbook for Canadian Financial Institutions at the start of our COVID-19 outbreak" (2020) and "Unlock more value from your data by understanding the behavioral economics principle keeping it siloed" (2019), he developed a psychological selling framework that was rolled out across Google in Canada called "Fastball" (2015), and regularly delivers speaking engagements including a past TEDx talk "Connecting in the Digital Age" (2013).
Chris is also passionate about start-ups. He sits on the Steering Committee for Google Canada's start up strategy, is a five time finals judge at the "Great Canadian Sales Competition", and sits on two start-up advisory boards; a PropTech start up based in Vancouver and an applied science lab based in Toronto.
