Daniel Andemeskel
Director - Head of Innovation Management at Universal-Investment


Daniel is Director and Head of Innovation Management at Universal-Investment and is responsible for the Group’s innovation agenda. His tasks include building up the next generation of fund services, to develop new business models and to further improve the service quality of Universal-Investment customers. He evaluates technological and business trends, among others Blockchain, Digital Assets, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning as well as Big Data.

He designed and developed the next generation of digital funds distribution platform, leveraging on Blockhain and AI with the vision of buying and selling funds “like books on amazon” covering the full investment management value chain.

Daniel is a member of several blockchain consortiums and forums and has initiated various collaboration on Blockchain, Crypto-currencies/-funds/-custody with different market partners and academia.

He has over 20 years experiences in asset management with experiences in portfolio management, sales, client relationship management and business development.

Prior to joining Universal Investment, Daniel was heading up innovation management and was transversally responsible for the management of strategic initiatives which have a transformational or structural impact at AXA Investment Managers.
