Laurent DebordeDirector of Innovation and Development at Caisse des Dépôts
Laurent Deborde, 55, started his career in 1987, first as a financial engineer, then as a swap and swaptions trader at Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole. He moved to bond portfolio management positions in 1994, working first for the French subsidiary of BHF then for Ixis AM, the company that later evolved into Natixis IM. In 1999 he was appointed co-head of bond management for Ixis AM, successively in charge of Insurance and Credit. He joined Caisse des Dépôts in 2001 as head of bond management. At this time he took part in the work groups building and launching the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). He later became head of CDC’s financial risk department within the Risk division, then was appointed head of portfolio management for the french Saving Fund, entrusted to CDC, supervising the management of more than 100 B€. Since the creation of the new Investment Division of CDC in 2017, Laurent has manage dits Innovation and Development activities, whichincludes CDC’s quantitative asset management and listed assets fund selection.
Laurent is an engineer from the École Centrale de Paris (1987), a Chartered Financial Analyst (1999), holds a Master in Economics (2004), and recently graduated from CES Data Scientist at Telecom ParisTech (2018).
