Gurmukh is an Associate at TMT Law Practice. Primarily a dispute resolution lawyer, Gurmukh’s core areas of practice includes intellectual property laws, arbitration laws, insolvency laws, civil and criminal laws. Gurmukh regularly advises clients on media and broadcasting rights and telecommunications laws.
After completing his BA.LLB in 2018, Gurmukh practiced commercial litigation at New Delhi for two years before joining the disputes team of TMT Law Practice in January 2020. Gurmukh regularly appears before various forums like Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, lower courts, and tribunals including the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), the Telecom Disputes and Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT).
Gurmukh has a keen interest in insolvency laws and keeps himself abreast of the latest developments around the globe in the domain of insolvency. Gurmukh’s prior experience in both civil and criminal litigation has equipped him with a unique approach towards addressing complex issues and providing holistic solutions.
The most notable highlight of Gurmukh’s career is representing radio broadcasters in the first-ever determination of Statutory License Fee for broadcast of sound recordings on radio under Section 31-D of the Copyright Act,1957.
