KV Krishnaprasad is a barrister at One Essex Court, a leading commercial set in London.
Krishna has experience of working on several large-scale complex commercial disputes. He recently appeared in the Court of Appeal, led by Lord Pannick QC, in a successful appeal on behalf of the Tax Authority of the Kingdom of Denmark. He is also currently instructed on an appeal that raises complex issues regarding the application of the reflective loss rule to fraud claims. In addition to his appellate practice, Krishna acts at first instance (led by Laurence Rabinowitz QC) in the Danish tax fraud case, which has been described as “one of the largest and most complex pieces of litigation to be heard in the Commercial Court”.
Krishna has previously worked as a Judicial Assistant at the English Commercial Court. He taught and researched the law of restitution at Oxford before coming to the Bar, and his work on restitution has been cited with approval by the English Court of Appeal.
Krishna is qualified to practice in India. He has several publications on Indian private law and is currently leading a book project on Indian contract law.
