Mr. Nusrat Hassan is the Co-Managing Partner of Link Legal India Law Services. Nusrat has over 25 years post qualification experience and is dual qualified in India and England and Wales.  He co-founded DH Law Associates, a full-service pan-India law firm headquartered in Mumbai, India. DH Law Associates and Link Legal India Law Services merged with effect from 1st January 2017.  Link Legal is a full service law firm across practice areas with extensive experience of advising clients in mergers & acquisitions, infrastructure, private equity, general corporate, financing, dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency, policy & regulatory and contract management in diverse sectors including airports, metro rail and urban transport, roads, ports, real estate, power, aviation, social infrastructure, TMT, pharmaceutical and banking.  Nusrat’s legal practice areas include Dispute Resolution, Corporate and M&A, foreign direct investment, agriculture laws and data protection and privacy law matters.

He is a qualified attorney enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He is also a qualified solicitor (non-active) of the Law Society of England and Wales. A Chevening Scholar (www.chevening.org) educated in UK and India, he is a “thought leader” who regularly writes articles in reputed Indian and foreign journals, which includes contributions to Kluwer Law International (Arbitration and Litigation), Juris Publishing (The Internet Law and Regime: India Chapter), Thomson Reuters (Global Agricultural Law: India Chapter). He is also an excellent speaker on many complex issues at national and international fora.

He is the Senior Vice Chair of Agricultural Law Section of the International Bar Association. He is a former president of the Association of British Scholars (Mumbai Chapter) and member of Congress of Fellows of Centre of Legal Studies, Austria. He is also the Co-Founder and Director, Indian Arbitration Forum.

He is empanelled with the Beijing Arbitration Commission and the Investor Grievance Redressal Committee at MCX Stock Exchange. He is also a ‘Fellow’ of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London and secretary of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, India Branch.

Nusrat is featured as a Leading Individual in Legal 500 Asia Pacific for Dispute Resolution. Mr. Hassan is named in the Elite “A-list Lawyers” in the publication of India Business Law Journal (IBLJ). He is also featured as a leading lawyer by Who’s Who Legal and was amongst the finalist in ALB Indian Law Awards 2020 as “M&A Deal Maker of the Year”.  Mr. Hassan is also recognised as the “Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year" at Legal Era's Indian Legal Awards 2019-20.
